A New Year, A New Beginning.

It's the middle of January, and it's fucking freezing outside. -6°F.
Oh, but that's not the best of it. It feels like -21°F.
Oh, yay, wind chill.
Since about mid-December, I've been having dreams about the tropics. Bright blue skies, cobalt blue oceans, beaches under the hot Caribbean sun... My visions remind me of how depressed I am in the Chicago winter. All I want to do is hibernate, which is basically what I've been doing. I've been living in the basement (which is significantly warmer than the rest of the house) and playing video games, and well as watching ridiculous amounts of television. Marathons of House, Monk, Psych, Burn Notice, Law and Order, and NCIS. My brain would be a vegetable, but I've been doing at least an hour of Pre-Calc every day. Still, looking at the foot or so of snow piled up outside discourages me from doing anything.
But I digress.
Anyway, here's my checklist so far for '09.
  • Do drawing commissions
  • Take ACT
  • Take PSAT
  • Finish Sophomore year with straight A's (Ha ha.)
  • Shadow some doctors
  • Find new piano teacher
  • Study A & P, AP Bio, and AP Chem.
  • Get out of debt
A lot more needs to be done, but for now, I'm not thinking about it.
I am, however, reading about the MCAT.
Time to start buckling down, and try not to shit myself.
Lord help me.
